Health Care Workers BLS and ACLS Classes
The American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers adult and pediatric (child and infant) CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and the use of the bag-valve mask), foreign-body airway obstruction (choking), and automated external defibrillation (AED). In addition, the course discusses basic anatomy of the heart and brain and reviews the signs and symptoms of cardiovascular emergencies (heart attack and stroke) and reviews risk factors and warning signs for cardiovascular disease. This course is designed for healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other healthcare professionals.
The American Heart Association ACLS Providers Course is designed for Healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. Prerequisite: Successful completion of BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR Course.

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED Classes
The Heartsaver AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult and child CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The course also teaches how to recognize a foreign-body airway obstruction. Infant CPR is optional with this course. This course provides a two year completion card that satisfies the requirements for anyone who needs to document their training.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED Course was developed on the basis of evidence-based guidelines. It is a modular course that includes essential information and training in the first-aid skills recommended by OSHA and provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency, until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel. The course provides a complete health and safety training solution for first aid, adult and child CPR, and AED. Infant CPR is optional with this course.
